I need some some advice. Last night I was at the beach, enjoying a campfire. When we packed up to leave, my R1 HD must have fallen out of my pocket, because I did not have it when I got back to the car. I looked everywhere, and even came back in the morning, but had no luck. How should I go about finding it? There is one main catch: The beach has no T-Mobile cell service.
Metal detectors are not allowed, or I'd use one. I'm thinking of using a Verizon phone to set up a hotspot to try and get the phone to connect to it, so I can use Android Device Manager. But how would I trick the phone into thinking that the network was one it remembered? Do I just set the SSID to one that the phone should already know?
